Project summary:
Technology Standards Addressed
II. Communication
A. Use technology to communicate information in a variety of formats.
2. Use productivity tools to publish information.
Description:
My iMovie shows our class field trip the Baltimore Aquarium. This project allowed me to communicate with the students' parents about this trip as well to share a reflection on our field trip.
Reflection:
This was a great project because the student interest was very high when they could watch the digital story to reflect on the trip. The pictures helped jump start the kids' writing about their trip and I believe the digital story helped to solidify the experience in their minds. Even now, they often make connections to the trip to the aquarium from current topics being taught or introduced. That's great news to me!

OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY - using the digital camera and photo story 3.
Project Summary:
Technology Standards Addressed
4.B.1.a Use multimedia tools to express original ideas with print, drawings, digital images, existing video, sounds, and/or personal recordings.
Description:
We were beginning a theme on communities. The children decided to make a digital story to give a virtual tour of the school community they are in every day.
Reflection:
I observed that the students were very engaged in this project and were extremely eager to plan and discuss what would be important "landmarks" in the building to include in our tour. They were thinking along the lines of really giving a picture of what it is like to be in Rosa Parks to someone who has never stepped foot in.
